Your company is walled off
Every record belongs to one company, and the database itself refuses to show it to anyone outside that company — not just the screens. We test this directly, by signing in as real users of one company and confirming nothing from another is visible.
Encryption
All traffic uses HTTPS, and browsers are told never to connect without it. Records and files are encrypted at rest by our database provider.
Who can see what
Inside your company, access follows the roles your admins assign. Fieldtec staff open your records only through a support session linked to a request, recorded in your activity history.
Backups
Your records are backed up daily, with backups kept for 7 days and a weekly copy kept for 90 days, stored separately. We rehearse restoring from them.
Changes are tested first
Every change is built and tested on a separate copy of the system before it reaches yours, and goes out in a weekly maintenance window with a backup taken first.
Reporting a problem
If you believe you have found a security issue, email privacy@fieldtec.ca. Please do not test against other companies' data.
